Our story: from our kitchen to yours
YOMO was born out of necessity—but it quickly became a passion. A few years ago, I found myself in the trenches, feeding a family with complex dietary needs. My toddler had just been diagnosed with coeliac disease, my baby had multiple food allergies, and I had developed acute gluten intolerance during pregnancy. Meanwhile, my husband had finally discovered that a low-FODMAP diet could have a big positive impact on his ongoing gut issues.
Food had always been at the heart of our lives—we love sourcing, baking, cooking, and sharing meals with family and friends. But suddenly, finding safe and nutritious options that actually tasted good became a challenge.
Determined to bring back the joy of delicious, worry-free eating, I started experimenting in the kitchen. I was nailing some amazing gluten-free baked goods, but life with kids is busy—I didn’t have time to measure out multiple flours multiple times a day! So, I started making big batches of baking mix to save time.
At the same time, I was frustrated with the gluten-free products available in stores. The textures were never quite right, and I hated the long list of unrecognisable additives and preservatives. I figured if I needed these mixes, others probably did too!
👉 That’s how YOMO was born.
Now we’re here to make life easier and tastier for people with tricky dietary requirements.
